Love Data Week 2025 Wrapped

From February 10 to 14, OSRDS celebrated Love Data Week, an annual international event that gives us the opportunity to promote good data practices and explore the role of data in our lives. This year, our heart-filled lineup of workshops and presentations ranged from building a stronger relationship with data ownership to safely navigating the regulatory landscape. We shared fifty ways to – thoughtfully – leave your Harvard lab or project, and heard updates from the powerhouse trifecta of Dataverse, DMP Tool, and RSpace. It was a week dedicated to bringing love to your data to keep them strong, secure, and well cared for. You can check out our Love Data Week 2025 OSF space for presentation materials.

Our friends and colleagues from across Harvard joined in the fun as well. The Map Collection spread the love with stories and lessons on managing GIS data, while the Qualitative Support and Digital Scholarship Groups offered sweet tips for creating beautiful data visualizations with NVivo and Tableau. The week closed out with the FAS Data Services Librarian inviting us to fall head over heels for Bibliometrix, a powerful tool for bibliometric analysis.

As Love Data Week winds down, remember that OSRDS is devoted to spreading the love year-round by offering our community the support, resources, and tools to better open, share, and manage our research data and scholarship. Because we all know life is sweeter when information is free and available to all, and rock solid through it all.
